This yantra was such a joy to make, and it is with great joy that I present her to you. The intricate pattern of triangles require a lot of one pointed attention and this is what the Goddess deserves! 
 
This is the mother of all Yantra’s, the Sri Yantra, also called Sri Chakra. It is probably the most well known yantra.
This yantra is dedicated to Lalita Tripura Sundari.
She is the highest Shakti of the universe.
 
Looking or meditatiing at the centre this yantra with its mystical design really draws you in.
It consists of nine interlocking triangles.
Four are pointing up, representing Shiva (Pure Consciousness).
The 5 downward pointing triangles represent Shakti (creative manifesting power).
Together they symbolize the union of the Divine masculine and feminine principles.
 
The Bindu in the innermost triangle represents the potential of the non-dual Shiva-Shakti.
 
Different parts of this yantra are related to the chakra’s in the body and it houses many different Goddesses.
 
In its three dimensional forms Sri Yantra is said to represent Mount Meru, the cosmic mountain at the center of the universe.
In Haridwar I have visited a beautiful temple in the shape of a three dimensional SriYantra.
 
This yantra is hand drawn and painted with gouache on high quality watercolor paper. The painted area is about 21 cm. It will last for decades if framed well!
